Both the artist and the materials are local! Each handmade design is created from wood found around the island of Key West and stained to enhance its natural character. The Constructed Palms are assembled from scraps from other projects, so each piece has its own character and, if you chose, is finished with a frame made from lobster traps that had been in local waters.
